The notorious art world scammer Anna Sorokin (aka Anna Delvey) strikes again. The fake heiress has launched a podcast called The Anna Delvey Show, recorded while under “house arrest in NYC’s East Village”, says a statement. “You might recognise my name as a character in a Netflix series [Inventing Anna], but now you get to meet the real me. On this show, I will dive into the concept of rules, and talk with the people who create or break them,” says Delvey in the podcast trailer. Recent guest Kenny Schachter, the US-based dealer and writer, jokes with Delvey, telling her that they should both “teach a class for Harvard Business School: ‘How to make small crime into big business’.” Over five years, Sorokin grifted numerous people by claiming to be a German heiress with an inheritance upwards of $60m. Meanwhile, another dose of reality: Audrey Thomas, the lawyer Sorokin hired to appeal her fraud conviction and fight her deportation order, recently sued Sorokin for more than $150,000 in allegedly unpaid legal fees. Wonder if the next podcast episode will delve into the concept of paying for things…
