Refund & Cancellation Policy

Art News Chicago — Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all advertising services, sponsored posts, paid placements, and promotional packages purchased from Art News Chicago (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

 

1. All Sales Are Final

Payments for advertising services are non‑refundable once:

  • artwork has been submitted

  • scheduling has begun

  • the ad has been published

  • a sponsored post has been drafted or edited

  • a placement has been reserved

This includes sidebar ads, homepage banners, category ads, featured placements, priority placements, and sponsored posts.

 

2. Advertiser Cancellations

If an advertiser chooses to cancel:

  • before submitting materials → credit may be issued

  • after submitting materials → no refund

  • after publication → no refund

  • after scheduling → no refund

Credits (if issued) may be applied to future advertising within 6 months.

 

3. Removal Due to Policy Violations

If an advertisement is removed because it violates our:

  • Advertiser Terms & Conditions

  • editorial standards

  • legal requirements

  • community guidelines

No refund will be issued.

 

4. Delays Caused by Advertisers

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • late artwork

  • incorrect ad sizes

  • broken links

  • missing information

  • incomplete submissions

Delays caused by advertisers do not qualify for refunds.

 

5. Failure to Provide Materials

If an advertiser fails to provide required materials by the deadline:

  • the ad may be delayed

  • the ad may be rescheduled

  • the ad may be cancelled without refund

We will make reasonable attempts to contact the advertiser before cancellation.

 

6. Technical Issues

If a technical issue on our end prevents an ad from running:

  • we will extend the campaign or

  • issue a credit equal to the unused portion

Refunds are issued only if we are unable to deliver the purchased service.

 

7. Sponsored Posts

Sponsored posts are non‑refundable once:

  • drafting has begun

  • editing has begun

  • publication has occurred

If a sponsored post is delayed due to advertiser revisions, no refund will be issued.

 

8. Changes & Rescheduling

Advertisers may request changes at least 48 hours before publication. Excessive revisions may incur additional fees.
