These Advertiser Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all advertising, sponsored content, paid placements, and promotional services (“Advertising Services”) purchased from Art News Chicago (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing or submitting advertising, you agree to these Terms.

All advertising is subject to our Advertiser Terms & Conditions, which outline placement rules, payment policies, and content requirements.

Art News Chicago reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, or remove any advertisement or sponsored content at our discretion. Advertising does not imply editorial endorsement. All advertisers must comply with our Advertiser Terms & Conditions.

1. Advertising Eligibility

We accept advertising from:

  • galleries

  • museums

  • nonprofits

  • cultural organizations

  • creative businesses

  • event organizers

  • arts‑related brands

We reserve the right to decline any advertisement for any reason.

 

2. Advertiser Responsibilities

By submitting advertising materials, you agree that:

  • you have the legal right to use all images, text, and graphics

  • your advertisement is accurate and not misleading

  • your advertisement complies with all applicable laws and regulations

  • your advertisement does not infringe on any third‑party rights

  • your advertisement does not contain harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content

You are solely responsible for the content of your advertisement.

 

3. Our Right to Reject or Remove Ads

Art News Chicago may, at its discretion:

  • reject any advertisement

  • request edits or revisions

  • remove an advertisement at any time

  • pause or delay publication due to technical or editorial reasons

If an ad is removed due to a violation of these Terms, no refund will be issued.

 

4. Ad Placement & Positioning

We will make reasonable efforts to place your advertisement in the agreed‑upon location (e.g., sidebar, homepage banner, category page). However:

  • exact placement is not guaranteed

  • positioning may vary based on device, layout, or site updates

  • impressions and click‑through rates are not guaranteed

We do not guarantee specific traffic, engagement, or results.

 

5. Sponsored Posts & Paid Editorial Content

Sponsored posts include:

  • editorial‑style articles

  • event features

  • exhibition announcements

  • promotional stories

Sponsored posts:

  • are clearly labeled as “Sponsored”

  • may be edited for clarity, grammar, or formatting

  • remain in our archive unless removed for policy violations

  • must comply with our editorial and advertising standards

We do not guarantee publication dates unless agreed in writing.

 

6. Payment Terms

Payment is required before an advertisement or sponsored post is published.

  • All fees are listed in USD

  • Payments are non‑refundable unless we fail to deliver the purchased service

  • Refunds are not issued for advertiser cancellations

  • Refunds are not issued for ads removed due to policy violations

Invoices must be paid in full prior to scheduling.

7. Ad Specifications & Technical Requirements

Advertisers must provide:

  • correctly sized graphics (JPG, PNG, or GIF)

  • working URLs

  • final artwork before the publication date

  • any required copy or text

If materials are not provided on time, publication may be delayed without refund.

 

8. Changes & Revisions

Advertisers may request changes to:

  • artwork

  • links

  • copy

  • scheduling

Changes must be submitted at least 48 hours before the scheduled publication date. Excessive revisions may incur additional fees.

 

9. Tracking & Analytics

Art News Chicago may provide basic performance insights such as:

  • impressions

  • clicks

  • general engagement indicators

We do not guarantee specific metrics or outcomes.

 

10. Termination of Advertising

We may terminate an advertising campaign if:

  • the ad violates these Terms

  • the ad is found to be misleading or harmful

  • the advertiser fails to pay

  • the advertiser submits incomplete or unusable materials

No refunds will be issued for terminated campaigns.

 

11. Liability Limitation

Art News Chicago is not liable for:

  • errors in submitted artwork

  • delays caused by advertiser materials

  • technical issues beyond our control

  • lost revenue or business opportunities

  • indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific advertising service.

 

12. Indemnification

Advertisers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Art News Chicago from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

  • the content of their advertisement

  • copyright or trademark disputes

  • false or misleading claims

  • violations of law or third‑party rights

 

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued advertising after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
